Plastic panel UV laser lettering has little effect, no deformation or scorching
May 17 , 2021UV laser marking plastics, white\black\graphics and texts can be marked, and the marking is clear
Lasers are roughly classified into fiber lasers, carbon dioxide lasers, and ultraviolet lasers.
Some plastics are easy to mark because they absorb laser light, while some plastics do not absorb laser light and cannot be marked with laser light at all. The absorption rate of the laser is a function of the wavelength. Therefore, under the same laser intensity, different plastics will get different quality marks. For example, some colored high-density polyethylene and polycarbonate can obtain ideal marks without adding any additives when using UV lasers; while marking with CO2 lasers, the engraving will not be good unless special additives are added. In addition, plastic degradation, cracks, and surface cavities, etc., will also reduce the quality of the mark.
