At present, there are three main types of lasers used in the domestic marking industry: carbon dioxide lasers, fiber lasers, and ultraviolet lasers.
Among them, the carbon dioxide laser is the earliest suitable for the marking industry. After a long period of technical iteration, the lifespan is stable at 4-5 years, and it can be inflated after attenuation. Fiber laser life is as long as 8-10 years. However, the lifetime of the UV laser is much shorter than the first two, with a lifetime of only about two years.

There are two main reasons for the core reasons: when the ultraviolet laser is working, the ultraviolet crystal is easy to adsorb the gray layer in the cavity, and the ultraviolet itself has a short wavelength, which is also very easy to destroy the crystal. So basically at around 12,000 hours the UV crystal will become dirty, resulting in a drop in power, which in turn leads to the end of the life of the UV laser.
In addition, many laser manufacturers are unfamiliar with the process, the cleanliness of the cavity is not high, and the gray layer is too much, which will accelerate the shortening of the life of the ultraviolet laser.
Another core factor that affects the life of the UV laser is the life of the pump light source LD. If the imported pump light source is used, the general life is 5-6 years, so as to ensure the life of the UV laser. Domestic light sources are cheap, but many of them start to decay after one and a half years of use, which shortens the life of UV lasers.
