Photonics Industries (PI), a specialist in intracavity solid-state harmonic lasers, has increased the power of its DSH Series UV ns laser, the new DSH-355-28, to over 28 W at 50 kHz.
PI has shipped this new 28 W UV laser to a major Asian integrator for high-speed PCB cutting.
PI combines intracavity harmonic generation with end pumping diodes to create the DSH-355 Series diode pumped solid-state nanosecond UV lasers — a single laser that can be applied to a wide variety of industrial applications.
Increasing the power of UV lasers is in demand due to the desire to increase the speed in mobile device manufacturing applications, ranging from FPCB cutting via hole drilling to UV marking applications, as well as ITO patterning and laser direct writing.
A standard feature of all PI's DSH-355 Series lasers is an embedded total pulse control system with advanced processing functionalities, such as burst mode.
The new DSH-355-28 UV ns laser provides high power at high rep rates, typically over 25 W at 100 kHz, from a small-footprint, lightweight industrial ns laser. The all-in-one single box design simplifies installation by removing the need to manage a separate controller/power supply box and umbilical cable.
