The uv laser marking machine It does work, However you need to follow the directions and take your time with set up. So far I have etched  on wood, bamboo, and assortment of plastics. Works great on blank plastic name tags (see video) . It takes some time to learn the depth and power you need with each material you use and it is a must to use in a well vented area
